Program Counselor
As a Program Counselor with Thomas Allen, Inc. you will have the primary responsibility of meeting the individual needs of the clients by providing support, guidance, training and supervision. You will be assisting clients with daily living skills such as self-care, meals, transportation, budgeting, medical needs. Program Counselors accompany clients on a variety of activities such as going out to eat, the movies, and shopping.
Program Coordinator
As a Program Coordinator, you will share leadership responsibilities with the Program Manager. Key duties include coordination of assessments, writing progress review and annual reports, writing baseline and program plans, etc. You will also have a key role with clients’ medical and financial oversight –which may include tracking medical appointments, reviewing Expenditure Reports and assuring record keeping is accurate. You may work a combination of daytime and evening hours.
Primary Program Counselor
As a Primary Program Counselor, you will serve as the key staff within the home on a daily basis. You will typically works afternoon and evening hours, and generally some weekend hours. Responsibilities include coordinating client recreational planning, reminders on missed documentation, daily oversight of clients’ checking and/or savings and petty cash accounts. The Primary Program Counselor may also assist with scheduling and attending medical appointments, reordering medications, and calculating and documenting monthly progress on programs. Job duties are specific to the home and clientele served, and the PPC adheres to the Standard PC; specific PPC job description is available from the hiring supervisor.
Awake Night Counselor
As an Awake Night Counselor with Thomas Allen Inc , you will have the primary, responsibility of providing support, guidance, training and supervision during the night. You will be assisting clients by responding to emergencies, documenting client observations or occurrences, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the clients.
Sleepover Counselor
As a Sleepover Counselor, you are paid to sleep, but will be responsible to respond to client needs and emergencies. You will be assisting clients by responding to medical or weather emergencies, ensuring that all clients are asleep and comfortable, documenting client observations or occurrences, attending to client needs, and assisting clients with their morning routines.
Live-In Counselor
As a Live-in Counselor, you will reside at the client’s residence free of charge. You will have the primary responsibility of meeting the individual needs of the clients by providing support, guidance, training and supervision. You will be assisting clients with daily living skills such as self-care, meals, transportation, budgeting, medical needs. Live-in Counselors accompany clients on a variety of activities such as going out to eat, the movies, and shopping.
Floater Program Counselor
As a Floater Program Counselor, you will be trained to work at several different group homes. You will pick up shifts from the Float Supervisor on a regular basis. You will have the primary responsibility of meeting the individual needs of the clients by providing support, guidance, training and supervision. You will be assisting clients with daily living skills such as self-care, meals, transportation, budgeting, medical needs. Floater Program Counselors accompany clients on a variety of activities such as going out to eat, the movies, and shopping.
Activity Coordinator
As an Activity Coordinator, you will have the primary responsibility for planning and coordinating recreation and leisure opportunities for clients living at the group home. You will create an activity calendar each month that incorporates client preferences, and encourages client participation. In addition, you will assist in coordinating transportation and payment.
Program Manager
As a Program Manager, will have the primary responsibility for the smooth operation of a Thomas Allen Inc. group home. You will ensure that the clients have the highest care possible by hiring, training, and scheduling Program Counselors, overseeing medical issues, coordinating communication with the client’s family and other involved professionals, and overseeing the client’s finances.
LPN
As an LPN, you will have the primary responsibility for providing medical services, counseling, supervision and program plan implementation to clients. You will be assisting clients with daily living skills such as self-care, meals, transportation, budgeting, medical needs. LPNs will handle a variety of medical tasks, including bringing clients to medical appointments, conducting physical therapy, maintaining medical equipment and administering shots.
Nurse Consultant
As a Nurse Consultant, you will have the primary responsibility for providing direct nursing services at one or more Thomas Allen Inc. group homes. You will make regular visits to examine clients, consult regarding health issues, be available in the case of emergencies, and make medical recommendations.
Support Services Counselor
As a Support Services Counselor, you will have the primary responsibility for implementing programming, counseling, and general assistance for living with their families or in a foster care setting. You will be assisting clients with activities as bringing clients out to eat, the movies, shopping, Special Olympic Events, and dances. You will be assisting clients in developing their independent problem-solving skills and interacting positively with friends, peers, family and the community.
Community Living Advisor ( Scattered Sites )
As a Community Living Advisor, you will have the primary responsibility for helping clients transition into long-term independent community living and providing ongoing support services. You will be coordinating communication and services with families, day programs and other involved professionals, hosting client meetings, maintaining client’s financial records, and maintaining progress notes on your client. You will assist clients with finding leisure activities.
Conservator/Guardian
As a Conservator/Guardian, you will have the primary responsibility for acting as a legal representative for clients. You will act as an advocate on behalf of the client, visit with the client on a regular basis, ensure that appropriate provisions are made for the client’s care, comfort, maintenance needs, to maintain communication with the court, and to make decisions which are in the best interest of the client.
Case Manager
As a Case Manager, you will have the primary responsibility for providing case management services to clients. You will be responsible for obtaining assessment and diagnostic information, maintaining and updating case files, meeting with the client and other involved professionals, and assisting clients with locating and gaining access to necessary services.
Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will have the over all responsibility to maintain a high standard of building and property appearance/maintenance. You will complete regular inspections of assigned locations to ensure the building and equipment is up to code, complete maintenance tasks, and review and complete maintenance requests from staff as appropriate. Possible maintenance tasks include painting, cleaning equipment, and light plumbing or carpentry tasks.
